Music and videos – birds on the wire

America the beautiful – a videographic and musical journey across the Natioanal Parks of the West Coast of America.

During 2022 we had the opportunity to take two road trips around the western parts of the US.

The first in April, took in Death Valley and Yosemite National Parks.

The second in August went from San Francisco to Seattle to the Glacier National Park then Yellowstone National Park and then Grand Teton National Park (complete with bear encounters, unfortunately not captured on video). From there to The Arches National Park and Canyonlands , on to Monument Valley and onto the Salton Sea and Palm Springs where it got up to 115℉ (mid August)! It was cooler in Joshua Tree National Park. It was 5000 miles in 5 weeks and terabytes of RAW video of so many amazingly beautiful places.

It seemed to make sense to extract out the magnificent National Parks (hence the name “America The Beautiful”) and create a sequence of short videos showcasing each place. Of course, an original sound track for Birds On The Wire complemented each video.

Although it’s been a year since we completed our adventure, I’m still working through the materiel – and a joy that has been to revisit these magnificent places. The playlist for 10 installments in this incredible journey is here
